III. General information on the data processing

1. Scope of the processing of personal data

We principally only collect and use personal data of our users insofar as required to provide a functional website and our contents and services. The collection and use of our users’ personal data is regularly only performed on a legal basis. One exception applies in such cases where no legal basis is evident and the processing of the data processing can only be legitimised by consent.

2. Data deletion and storage period

The personal data of the data subject will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of their storage no longer applies. A storage may furthermore also take place where required by the European or national legislator in ordnances, laws or other regulations under Union law that the controller is subject to. The data will also be blocked or deleted when a storage period prescribed by one of the mentioned standards expires, unless their further storage is still required for the conclusion or fulfilment of a contact.

IV. Contact form and e-mail contact

1. Description and scope of the data processing

Our website features a contact form that can be used to contact us electronically. If a user takes advantage of this option, the data entered in the input screen will be sent to us and stored. These data include the:
Form of address, name, company, street and no., post code, town, Land/country, telephone no., e-mail address, industry, your message.
The following data will be additionally stored when the message is sent:
Date and time of the registration.
Alternatively, we can also be contacted by way of the provided e-mail address. In this case the personal data of the user that are sent with the e-mail will be stored.
No data are forwarded to third parties in this context. The data are only used to process the conversation.

2. Legal basis for the data processing

The legal basis for processing the data of the contact form is GDPR section 6.1.f. The processing serves the desired response to the user’s request. Our interest in answering corresponds to the request.
The legal basis for processing the data provided by sending an e-mail is GDPR section 6.1.f. If the e-mail contact is aimed at the conclusion of a contract, GDPR section 6.1.b is an additional legal basis for the processing.

3. Purpose of the data processing

The processing of the personal data from the input screen only serves us to process the contacting. If the contacting is by e-mail, this is also the required legitimate interest in the data processing.
The other personal data processed in the sending process serve to prevent misuse of the contact form and ensure the security of our IT systems.

4. Storage period

The data are deleted as soon as they are no longer required for achieving the purpose of their collection. With the personal data from the input screen of the contact form and those sent by e-mail, this is the case as soon as the respective conversation with the user is concluded. The conversation is concluded when the circumstances allow the conclusion that the matter in question has been conclusively settled.
The personal data additionally stored in the sending process will be deleted after a seven-day period at the latest.

5. Objection and removal options

The user is always able to abort the conversation and object to any further processing. In this case the conversation cannot be continued.
You can send your cancellation to the e-mail address datenschutz@koe-chemie.de, or you can also use the contact form for this or contact our postal address stated in this data protection policy. Although you will need to disclose your data again when using the contact form, we will take your wish seriously, not send any further replies under these data, and delete the newly sent data immediately after their processing.
All personal data stored up to that point in time as part of the contacting will be deleted in case of objection.

V. Telephone or fax queries

1. Description and scope of the data processing

If you contact us by e-mail, telephone or fax, we will store and process your enquiry, including all personal data arising from it (name, request), for the purpose of processing your request. We will not forward these data without your consent.

2. Legal basis of the data processing

These data are processed on the basis of GDPR section 6.1.b if your request relates to the fulfilment of a contract or is required for the performance of precontractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on your consent (GDPR section 6.1.a) and/or our legitimate interests (GDPR section 6.1.f) as we have a legitimate interest in the effective processing of the requests addressed to us.

3. Storage period

The data you provide us with by way of contact requests will be stored by us until you request their deletion, revoke your consent to their storage, or the purpose of the data storage no longer applies (e.g. once your request has been conclusively processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – especially legal retention requirements – remain unaffected by this.

V. Google web fonts

1. Description and scope of the data processing

For consistent font display, this page uses so-called web fonts provided by Google. The Google fonts are installed locally. No connection to Google servers takes place in the process.

VII. Rights of the data subject

You have the right to:

  • demand access to the personal data of yours we process, in keeping with GDPR section 15.You can in particular demand information on the processing purposes, category of the personal data, category of the recipients your data have been or will be disclosed to, the planned storage period, existence of a right to rectification, deletion, restriction of the processing or objection, existence of a right to lodge a complaint, about the source of your data insofar as not collected by us, and the existence of automated decision-making including profiling, and to demand meaningful information on the details as required;
  • demand the rectification of inaccurate or completion of incomplete personal data of yours we store without undue delay in keeping with GDPR section 16;
  • demand the erasure of your personal data stored by us insofar as their processing is not required to exercise the right to freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, in keeping with GDPR section 17;
  • demand that the processing of your personal data be restricted where you contest their accuracy, where the processing is unlawful but you oppose their erasure, and where we no longer need the personal data, but you require them for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims, in keeping with GDPR section 18, or where you have objected to the processing as per GDPR section 21;
  • receive the personal data you have provided us with in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, or demand their transmission to another controller, in keeping with GDPR section 20;
  • withdraw any consent you have given us again at any time as per GDPR section 7.3. As a consequence, we will no longer be permitted to continue the data processing that is based on this consent from this point in time; and
  • to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority as per GDPR section 77. You can usually contact the supervisory authority of your habitual residence or place of work for this, or our head office.

Right to object

If your personal data are being processed on the basis of legitimate interests as per GDPR section 6.1.f, you have a right to object to this processing of your personal data as per GDPR section 21 if there are grounds for this relating to your particular situation or if your objection concerns direct advertising. In the latter case, you have a general right to object that will be implemented by us without you citing a particular situation.
